The waterfront precinct and the MONA ferry terminal are a gentle 450-metre stroll. Salamanca Place, arguably the soul of Hobart sits just as close, with its Saturday market, independent restaurants, and the kind of wine bars that don't need to try hard. Battery Point's colonial laneways begin right where the cobblestones meet the city grid.

  • The Royale uses smart entry, you'll receive an access code before your stay. Check-in is from 3 pm; check-out by 10 am. Early check-in or late check-out can often be arranged depending on bookings — just ask via the Airbnb message thread when you book.

  • Yes, one secure undercover car space is included with every booking at no extra cost. Given the CBD location, this is genuinely one of the apartment's most practical advantages. The space comfortably fits a standard sedan or SUV.

  • The Royale sleeps four guests across two king bedrooms. The listing is configured for four; if you'd like to discuss options for additional guests please get in touch before booking. The space is ideal for two couples or a group of four friends travelling together.

  • The Royale is not currently pet-friendly, in order to protect the artwork and furnishings. If you're travelling with a pet and looking for an Island Collective property, please get in touch. We may be able to help with an alternative arrangement.

  • The minimum stay is two nights. Most guests stay three to five nights, which gives enough time to do Hobart justice MONA, the Salamanca Market, the Huon Valley, and the waterfront precinct each deserve at least half a day of your attention.


  • Very much so. The waterfront, Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock, and the MONA ferry terminal are all within a flat five to ten minute walk. Battery Point's laneways and the Elizabeth Street dining strip are similarly close. You can comfortably do most of the city without a car once you're parked.
